GIICA is working with our Games Delivery Partners to progress the Project Validation Report which will be provided to the Queensland and Australian Governments to support an investment decision.

The Chandler Sports Precinct was originally built for the Brisbane 1982 Commonwealth Games and has been a hub for community sports and high-performance competition events for over 40 years.

With its vast history, the Precinct is no stranger to international-standard competition, with facilities including the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Anna Meares Velodrome, Brisbane SX International BMX Centre, and the Southern Hemisphere’s first year-round ski-jumping facility in the Geoff Henke Olympic Winter Training Centre.

The Precinct will undergo upgrades ahead of 2032 with a focus on enhancing accessibility and connections between venues.
