Logan Indoor Sports Centre
Overview
The new Logan Indoor Sports Centre is set to become one of South East Queensland’s largest, fully accessible, multi-purpose sports centres, and is proposed as a centrepiece of the vibrant Civic and Community Precinct at Logan Central.
Strategically located in one of the region’s fastest-growing areas, the nine-court venue will provide a sporting legacy for Logan and provide new opportunities for residents to be active in their community.
Designed to provide participation opportunities in a diverse range of indoor sports, the centre will provide capacity for 7,000 spectators during the Games.
Beyond the Games, the Logan Indoor Sports Centre will be a dynamic community hub for sport and events. Local schools, clubs, and community members will have access to world-class and accessible facilities, encouraging a new generation of athletes and active communities.

Features and benefits

As Logan’s largest piece of community sporting infrastructure, the new indoor sports centre will address the needs of a growing local population expected to reach more than 500,000 by 2041.

Beyond the Games, the new centre will serve as a key sporting and community hub, with nine courts across two halls, able to host a range of sports and community events.
The new nine-court centre will leave a fantastic legacy beyond the Games, being able to host a range of community sports, including basketball, netball, volleyball, futsal, badminton and para-sports wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.
With just one indoor court per 28,000 residents, Logan’s new Indoor Sports Centre will dramatically expand access, opening ahead of the Games to deliver lasting benefits for generations to come.
This project will support a raft of job opportunities during its two-year construction phase, including opportunities for apprentices and trainees.
