GIICA

Hosting the world's largest sporting celebration is a privilege that will define Queensland for the rest of the 21st century, driving economic growth, sustainability, connectivity, and healthier, more-inclusive communities.

The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) will maximise this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to deliver 17 new and upgraded venues across Queensland.

We are building a legacy that transcends the Games, transforming Queensland to ensure we thrive on the world stage showcasing our vision, culture and lifestyle.

GIICA will deliver this venues program across key delivery phases, before the completed venues are prepared for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Following the Games Closing Ceremony, the venues will return to their permanent owners and service Queenslanders as sports, community and entertainment venues for generations to come.

With varying requirements and timelines for each venue, some projects may be in more than one project phase at the same time.
