Brisbane International Shooting Centre
Overview
First developed in 1968, the Brisbane International Shooting Centre sits within the Belmont Shooting Complex - a venue with a proud history of hosting international shooting events for athletes and the community alike.
Most recently upgraded for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, the Centre will undergo further upgrades to ensure it is ready to host shooting events for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. These upgrades will deliver a world-class experience for athletes and spectators, while supporting long-term community and elite use.
Already home to two international-standard shooting ranges, the venue’s established infrastructure provides a strong foundation. Upgrades are required to meet Olympic and Paralympic competition requirements while supporting long-term community and elite use.

Outside of elite competition, venue improvements will offer more opportunities for local clubs and the broader shooting sports community to access world-class facilities in a cross-disciplinary hub.
Upgrades to the centre will provide additional opportunities for Brisbane to host future national and international competitions.
With a legacy dating back to 1968, this venue has long been a cornerstone of Queensland’s competitive shooting landscape. Upgrades will honour its historic role while reinforcing its position as a modern venue for community sport, elite training, and international competition.
