Current Status
GIICA is working with our Games Delivery Partners to progress the Project Validation Report which will be provided to the Queensland and Australian Governments to support an investment decision.
Australia’s premier BMX centre has been challenging local, national and international riders since a track upgrade was completed in 2023.
It incorporates the latest international design and construction and meets international competition standards. Minor upgrades will be undertaken prior to the Games, ensuring community and competition riders continue to benefit from having a world-class BMX track in South East Queensland.
Games use
The Brisbane SX International BMX Centre is proposed to host Olympic BMX racing with a capacity for up to 5,000 Games spectators utilising temporary seating.
