The Brisbane Aquatic Centre at Chandler has been a swimming stronghold since hosting the 1982 Commonwealth Games.

The facility attracts significant community use, with over 400,000 users annually through the pool and associated facilities. The venue is also frequently used for school aquatic sports carnivals and local, regional and state competitions. National championships, for a variety of aquatic disciplines, are regularly hosted at the aquatic centre.  

The venue will undergo upgrades to complement the new National Aquatic Centre at Spring Hill. 

The surrounding Chandler Sports Precinct will also undergo upgrades ahead of 2032 with a focus on enhancing accessibility and connections to various venues within the precinct.

The Brisbane Aquatic Centre will support the delivery of Games aquatic events, alongside the new National Aquatic Centre.
