Moreton Bay Indoor Sports Centre
Overview
The new Moreton Bay Indoor Sports Centre will be one of the largest muti-use indoor sports facilities in South East Queensland.
Located within the revitalised Mill Precinct, the new 12-court centre will be designed to serve the community well beyond the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The centre will provide a flexible and accessible space that supports a wide range of indoor sports including basketball, netball, volleyball, gymnastics, futsal, pickleball and wheelchair rugby.
The project scope is expected to include a café, players’ change rooms, more than 300 car parks, and office amenities such as meeting rooms, ensuring the venue is equipped to support both sporting and community needs.
The new venue will be owned and operated by City of Moreton Bay Council. Council has already commenced enabling works on-site in readiness for GIICA’s future construction activities. GIICA is working with the Queensland and Australian governments and Council to progress the project to design and delivery.
