Chandler Precinct - Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler, Brisbane

The Chandler Sports Precinct, part of the Sleeman Sports Complex, was originally built for the Brisbane 1982 Commonwealth Games and has been a community use and competition venue for 40 years. The Precinct will be upgraded ahead of 2032, to include a dedicated Para-sport community facility.

The existing indoor arena facility at the precinct will be upgraded to house the new facility. Upgrades will include an accessibility overhaul to ensure community-based indoor para-sport can be supported in the lead up to and after the 2032 Games.

The Para-sport facility will provide an important legacy through increased participation in sport and physical activity for people with disability. The facility will also create high-performance pathways for para-athletes.
