Current Status

Preliminary planning and feasibility activities are underway. Site investigations in Victoria Park will begin later in the year to inform the location, design and construction planning. A Project Validation Report will be developed to support the investment decision with Queensland and Australian Governments.

Victoria Park will be the home of Brisbane’s new oval stadium.

Integrated within a master-planned precinct that will include the new National Aquatic Centre, Brisbane Stadium will be a world-class stadium which will showcase the city on the global stage.

In legacy mode, the venue will have capacity for 63,000 spectators and will become the home of cricket and AFL in Brisbane. The stadium will also be able to host significant events such as concerts with a capacity of approximately 70,000.

It will be a new stadium close to the Brisbane CBD benefitting from improved transport connectivity and delivering significant community and economic benefits, helping Queensland attract the best sporting matches and biggest international superstars into the future.
