Victoria Park will be the home of Brisbane’s new oval stadium at a time when the iconic but ageing Gabba ground approaches the end of its useful life.
Integrated within a master-planned park with city views, Victoria Park is an unparalleled choice for a new main stadium. In legacy mode, the venue will have seating capacity for 63,000 AFL and Cricket fans. The stadium will also be able to host significant events such as concerts with a capacity of up to 70,000.
It will be a new stadium close to the Brisbane CBD benefitting from improved transport connectivity and delivering significant community and economic benefits , helping Queensland attract the best sporting matches and biggest international superstars into the future.
The next steps include a detailed planning and design process for the stadium. The community and stakeholders will continue to be engaged and updated during the stadium's design and construction.
